I am in love with old hymns. I feel like the really good ones do not get enough attention and I like seeking to find the really good ones. I became reacquainted with one and feel in love. I sang it in chapel the other day and it was a very great experience.
Look at these lyrics.
Grace Greater than Our Sin
Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,
Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt,
Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured,
There where the blood of the Lamb was spilt.
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace that is greater than all our sin.
Dark is the stain that we cannot hide,
What can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide;
Whiter than snow you may be today.
Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace,
Freely bestowed on all who believe;
All who are longing to see His face;
Will you this moment His grace receive?
Thinking about grace is really beyond me. It is such a beautiful concept. The Lord has so richly lavished on us His blessing and His favor.
